In 2011 in an effort to further our mission to confront and prevent domestic violence in all its forms the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence began helping survivors of sexual assault cope with the trauma and begin a journey of hope.Over the years casfv has grown from a hotline that began in 1977 to an emergency shelter that has resided at an undisclosed location since 1983. After the shelter was established the family resource center battering intervention & prevention program and a transitional living center became a part of casfvs effort to assist families in need.casfv started as a hotline that referred people who were victimized by domestic violence to a network of safe houses and private homes that offered shelter to them and their families. casfv incorporated in 1977 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a board of directors serving the tri-county area of El Paso Hudspeth and Culberson counties. Guiding casfv in its mission to advocate for safety and justice through intervention education and community collaboration is our executive director Sandra Garcia. To this end casfv addresses a persons needs in times of emergency and works to rebuild families by providing the needed guidance and resources to put them back on the road to a healthy recovery.
