Dear Friends and Families For the past 89 years our mission at Weinstein Garlick Kirschenbaum and Weinstein Memorial Chapel has been to honor the memory of your loved one treating each family who comes to us as our own. The unprecedented times in which we now find ourselves require new practices and procedures but we want you to know: our mission has not changed.We pledge to continue to support you during your time of grief while ensuring the safety of your loved ones our staff and the broader community. To that end we have reviewed guidelines from:The CDCNew York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA)National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA)KAVOD (Independent Jewish Funeral Chapels)local clergy temples cemeteries and crematoriesHeres what you can expect from us:The same round-the-clock service youd expect from a family-owned and operated-business. Our directors remain available to assist you 24 hours a day.All arrangements will be made via the phone email or videoconferencing. If you are unable to meet with us virtually we will offer a face-to-face meeting but unfortunately we must limit the number of family members in attendance to two.All services will be held privately at graveside with a limit of 10 attendees.As a result of social distancing regulations some cemeteries have limited their hours and group sizes which can impact the timing of burials. We will work with all our partners to provide service that is timely and safe for all parties involvedWe continue to monitor the news daily and will make necessary modifications as new developments arise.Please know that as we all confront the difficulties associated with COVID-19 we remain committed to continuing to serve our community with the highest level of care and compassion.
